Coaches,

Registration has started for what we are calling our CNR Basketball November/December League. This league will run from November 6 thru January 3 with games played on Friday evenings, Saturday and Sundays. There will be no games on November 27, 28, 29, December 25 and January 1.

Nov/Dec League Registration

The timeline for the Nov/Dec League is as follows:

  • Registration from September 21 – October 5 (anyone registering after Oct. 5 will be put on a wait list and won’t be guaranteed games)
  • 1st draft of the schedule released on October 23
  • Schedules made final by Nov 2
  • First games November 6

The cost of the league is $75 per game. Just to give everyone full disclosure, we tried to avoid raising the cost per game from our previous cost of $70 per game. However, our costs have skyrocketed due to everything involved with COVID so we were forced to make this price increase. We just want to be up front with everyone and not just try to drop it on people after the fact, as we know teams are budgeting costs with their parents.

How we view this Nov/Dec league is to provide an opportunity for teams to get some games in heading into January. As we’ve mentioned in previous posts, our hope is that in January, February and March we could host a winter league similar to what we’ve seen in the past. This Nov/Dec league is a bridge to that league.

Below is a link with previous information we’ve sent out about our Winter League status:

A few other important notes:

The maximum amount of games you can register for in the Nov/Dec league is 8 games. Depending on the amount of teams registering, we may not be able to get you 8 games. We want to give all teams interested the opportunity to at least play a couple of games.

As you know with the restrictions in St. Louis County and with school districts not allowing outside groups in, all of our games will take place at the following locations:

  • Gametime Sports in St. Peters, MO
  • Boys & Girls Club in St. Peters, MO
  • Lombardo All-American Athlete Children’s Center in Wentzville, MO

We are also pleased to be adding a facility; the N-Sports Rec Center in Washington, MO.

So therefore, if you aren’t wanting to play in St. Charles then don’t sign up for the Nov/Dec league.

CNR has also taken the following actions in trying to make it as safe of an environment as we can. Those actions include:

  • Limit one parent per player (no siblings are allowed to attend)
  • Masks for spectators
  • Teams don’t enter the gym until 10 minutes before their start time.

When all is said and one, we are doing everything we can to provide a venue for our kids to be able to play. Would we all like to have all parents, grandparents, siblings, etc. at all games?  Absolutely. Hopefully that time comes sooner than later. However, for this upcoming league we have to follow the guidelines mentioned above.
